Cute Girls

When we first moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba and got to visit some of the local restaurants and bars, one of the first thing we noticed was the proliferation of cute girls. It's really quite a contrast from our hometown of Toronto, Ontario. In Toronto, you see all manner of interesting people. Women are proud, unique and interesting, however Winnipeg boasts a very large population of cute girls and it's quite noticeable upon visiting the city for the first time. The difference between women of Toronto and Winnipeg is that the Winnipeg girls look cleaner, more wholesome and healthier. They have good coloring, are in better shape and lack the hardness that seems inherent in Toronto's females. Winnipeg women are a group of cute girls who give the impression of being less worldly-wise, more clean-cut and fresh looking. They lack the haggard look, the hard edge and the attitude that seems to identify many of Toronto's girls.

The funny thing is, once you get to know some of Winnipeg's cute girls, you realize that they may not be quite what meets the eye. Lacking the number of options for things to do, one of the main things these cute girls do is bar-hop. With bar-hopping and late night partying comes the drinking, the drugs and the promiscuity that seems to go hand-in-hand with that lifestyle. So it's interesting that so many of these women are able to stay in the category of cute girls when they are subjecting themselves and their bodies to such a wild lifestyles.

Upon careful thought and contemplation, we've finally decided that the cute girls syndrome must be a result of the very cold weather, and the proliferation of Ukrainian blood in the Winnipeg population. This combination makes for a hardy stock of women and may thereby result in the number of cute girls that grace our city.

As for Toronto women, while there are many that fall in the category of good-looking, their hard-edged looks may be a result of pollution, the city's hectic pace, and traveling in bumper-to-bumper gridlocked traffic on a daily basis.

It's interesting how deceiving appearances can be. However, it doesn't change the fact that Winnipeg is home to lots of cute girls and beautiful women, and a noticeably low eligible male population. Perhaps this anomaly of cute girls is our best-kept secret. And here I am blowing that secret wide open for the world to see!
